Telehealth Consultations
Phone and Video Consultations
The General Practitioners and Physiotherapists practicing at GHFP provide Phone and Video consultations as an alternative to in-surgery appointments. Wherever possible we will continue to provide in-surgery appointments.
How to book a Telehealth Consult:
GP Video and Phone consultations can be booked online from this website or via our FREE app, AMS Connect
In July 2021 the Medicare item numbers for phone consultations for some services were removed. Please note that we can only complete a GP Mental Health Care Plan, Care Plan, or ATSI Health Assessment via face-to-face or video consutation - if phone consultation is your only option there will be no Medicare rebate.
GP Video Consultations via Mobile App
Practitioners prefer to use Telehealth (video) rather than Phone Consults wherever possible because it's helpful to be able to see you. You need to download the AMS Connect App prior to your video consultation. Please join the consultation at the time of your appointment and wait for the practitioner. It’s possible that the practitioner may be running behind time, we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Physiotherapy Video Consultations via Physiapp
Physiotherapist, Jane Wilkinson, uses Physiapp for telehealth consultations. Physiapp allows the practitioner to video call you and show you exercises whilst screen sharing. They can then tailor a program specific to your condition and upload it to an app on your phone.
Phone Consultations
The practitioner will phone you to start the consultation. Please be ready to answer their call, and remember that the practitioner may call from a private number. It’s possible that the practitioner may be running behind, we appreciate your patience and understanding.
