Key Practice Nurse duties and responsibilities:
Our Practice Nurses coordinate and provide patient care, ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the practice and support GPs. Duties include:
- Patient care including wound care, immunisation, spirometry, triage, procedural assistance, health assessments, and proactive nurse-led chronic disease management
- Involvement in quality improvement projects
- Infection control
- Sharing knowledge and coaching peers
- Immunisation and cold-chain management
- Ordering and stock management
To be considered you will need:
- Relevant nursing experience (General Practice Nursing experience is desired but not essential)
- A growth mindset, an excellent attitude and great communication skills
- The ability to work independently as well as within a team
- The ability to connect with and motivate patients from all walks of life
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills
- Current AHPRA registration and CPR certification
