Dr Anna Kingshott
Anna was born and grew up in Hobart and studied medicine at The University of Tasmania. She completed her junior doctor years at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and her General Practice training in Melbourne. She also has qualifications of a Diploma of Obstetrics and an Emergency Medicine Certificate. She has spent time working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Melbourne, in Emergency Medicine at The Royal Hobart Hospital and working in Aboriginal Health in Alice Springs. She has been conducting her practice at Glebe Hill Family Practice since 2017.
Anna is happy to see patients for all of their General Practice needs and she has a special interest in women's health and family planning. Anna provides IUD insertions both Copper and Mirena for women with or without children. Anna is qualified to provide medical terminations of pregnancy.
Anna believes it is a great privilege to be able to help people maintain their health. Her favourite aspect of General Practice is getting to know families and helping them to stay well and happy.
Outside of work, Anna and her husband are kept busy with their three young children and enjoy going mountain biking and spending time at the beach. Anna loves to be outside and is passionate about Tasmania's wilderness and all the adventures it has to offer.
Sessions:
Mondays and Tuesdays, plus Saturdays (monthly) at Glebe Hill Family Practice.
