Dr Marita Jones
Marita grew up in Tasmania and trained through the University of Tasmania, the Royal Hobart Hospital and in rural Queensland. Marita graduated in 2011 and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017. Marita enjoys working with families and helping people find a balance in life and health.
Marita enjoys all aspects of general practice, especially caring for every member of the family. Marita has a special interest in pregnancy care, women's health, paediatrics, mental health and refugee medicine. Marita has experience in refugee health and enjoys working with people from diverse language backgrounds through interpreters.
Marita offers holistic, patient foccussed health goals and promotes a Health At Every Size philosophy.
Marita has training in skin cancer medicine, IUD insertion and removal and minor surgical procedures. She also enjoys teaching at RACGP GP Training.
Sessions:
Fridays, occasional Wednesday procedural sessions, and Saturdays (once a month) at Glebe Hill Family Practice.
