My Health Record
What is My Health Record?
My Health Record (MyHR) is a secure online summary of your health information, initiated by the Australian Federal Government.
You can control what goes into it, and who is allowed to access it.
You can choose to share your health information with your doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers.
How is MyHR useful?
MyHR may be useful in emergency situations, or if you need to see a GP elsewhere, such as on an interstate trip. Having a MyHR means that your important health information like allergies, past medical history, medications, and immunisation history, can be accessed by a doctor looking after you anywhere in Australia, with your consent. This may result in safer, faster and more efficient health care for you and your family.
MyHR Appointments at Glebe Hill Family Practice
Glebe Hill Family Practice staff can assist you to register for MyHR, which is much quicker and easier than registering yourself via the MyGov website!
Once we've registered you for MyHR, one of our General Practitioners, or one of our Practice Nurses, can upload a Shared Health Summary (SHS) from our practice records to your MyHR. We can keep your online health information up-to-date by uploading a new SHS whenever there is a change, or something new, in your medical record at Glebe Hill Family Practice.
Information will only be uploaded to your MyHR with your consent, and in your presence.
Ask your GP to upload a SHS to your MyHR at your next appointment!
