Free Mental Health Support for Tasmanian Adults
On May 25th 2021 Primary Health Tasmania announced FREE Mental Health Support for adult Tasmanians.
People living in Tasmania aged 18 and over now have access to free mental health support for mild mental illness such as anxiety and depression.
What's available?
Mindfulness Programs Australasia delivers Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) group sessions to communities around the state. The program is available via face-to-face sessions, community workshops, and telephone and internet sessions.
Remedy Healthcare delivers telephone and online coaching including the MindStep telephone service and MindStep Cognitive Behavioural Therapy online service to eligible adults, as well as the Healing Minds telephone service for eligible Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait clients across Tasmania.
