CovidSAFE Plans from 15 Dec 2021
Tasmania's borders open on Wednesday 15th December 2021. Everyone's safety is our main priority and we have made some changes to our service to mitigate the risks to you, all of our patients, our team, our families, and the greater community.
Video (or Phone) is available if you are unwell, isolating or in quarantine
Since the start of the Covid19 pandemic the following screening questions have been asked and will continue to be asked:
- Do you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath or any flu-like symptoms?
- Have you returned from overseas, interstate travel or visited a local hot spot in the last 14 days or had contact with someone that has?
- Have you had close or casual contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus?
If your answer is yes to any of these questions please stay at home, follow Public Health advice, and only book Video or Phone consultations at GHFP.
What to expect at GHFP from 15 December 2021
From December 15 the following changes will occur at GHFP:
We DO NOT have a Waiting Room
From Dec 15 we will no longer have our waiting room open for patients to wait prior to their appointment starting.
On arrival for your appointment please REMAIN IN YOUR CAR and let us know you’ve arrived by Checking In on your AMS Connect app (select My Appointments and click Check-In), or by phoning the practice. The practitioner will call you when it’s time to come in.
Wear a mask
Everyone entering the practice must wear a mask. We encourage you to bring and wear your own mask. We have surgical masks for purchase (50 cents) at the reception counter for anyone who forgets to bring their own mask. Our team will be wearing PPE such as masks and eye protection (goggles or face shields) for all close contact.
Enter alone
Please do not bring any unnecessary accompanying persons with you to your appointment. We will accept a maximum of one carer per patient for exceptional circumstances only.
Check-In, sanitise your hands and Social distance!
On arrival please make sure you check in via the Check In Tas app, sanitise your hands before entering, and practice safe social-distancing.
We encourage people who are not fully vaccinated to use Video (or Phone)
If you have chosen not to be vaccinated against Covid19, are unable to be vaccinated against Covid19, or not yet fully-vaccinated (at least two doses), then we encourage you to protect yourself and others by using Video (or Phone) consultations rather than coming in to the surgery.
Thankyou!
Thank you to everyone for respecting our policies, and helping to keep everyone in our practice and our wider community safe.
