GHFP - Dr Elif Stoneman
MBBS (Hons)

Dr Elif Stoneman, born in Turkiye, grew up in Tasmania where she completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania. Elif worked at the Royal Hobart Hospital and Bundaberg Base Hospital before starting her General Practice training in 2023.

Elif is particularly interested in child and adolescent mental health, women’s health, and preventative health care.

Outside of work, Elif loves hiking, scuba diving, and other outdoor adventures.

GHFP - Leletia Howe-Smith, RN
Registered Nurse

Leletia joined GHFP in June 2024. Leletia had worked mainly in a hospital setting since graduating from UTAS in 2010. Her background is in Endoscopy Nursing, and more recently as the Inflammatory Bowel Disease CNC at RHH. 

In general practice Leletia enjoys caring for people in her local community.

In her spare time Leletia loves walking the beach with her groodle puppy, bushwalks, travel and playing in her pottery studio.

GHFP - Russell Newell, Business Manager
BBusCom, GradCert (Clinical Redesign)

Russell joined GHFP Pty Ltd as Business Manager in July 2024.

Russell has in the primary health sector for over 25 years with a focus on data informed quality improvement and digital transformation. Russell’s academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Business and Commerce from Monash University and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Redesign from the University of Tasmania. 

Russell's professional highlights include 12 years as a private consultant to general practices transitioning many from paper based to electronic health record systems, contributing to the Victorian and West Australian integrated care pilots and playing a leading role in the establishment of the Tasmanian eReferral System and TasLink Health data linkage program.

GHFP - Kelly, Receptionist

Kelly moved to Tasmania from the Whitsundays in 2023 and joined the GHFP family in May 2024. Kelly brings with her a wealth of high-level administration experience and loves being part of an innovative and supportive team. In her free time, Kelly is an avid green thumb and can often be found in the garden. She enjoys exploring the beautiful surrounds of Tasmania, unwinding in nature, enjoying new dining experiences and listening to crime podcasts.

GHFP - Grace Jensen RN
Registered Nurse

Grace is a Registered Nurse who joined the GHFP team in May 2024. Grace is passionate about preventative health and enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them to achieve their health goals. Grace grew up on the Eastern Shore, had a 10 year stint in Sydney where she worked in both the public hospital system and general practice, before returning back home to Tassie. When she's not working, Grace loves spending time with her family, gardening and going on waterfall hikes.

GHFP - Vanessa, Receptionist

Vanessa joined the GHFP team in January 2024. Vanessa enjoys learning new skills and making new friends. Outside of work Vanessa enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, photography and travel.

MBChB, EMDip, FRACGP

Dr Isabel Pemble was originally from Wales and graduated from the Univertity of Bristol in 2016. She moved to Australia in 2018 for the better weather, more outdoor adventures and a better work-life blance. Isabel spent 2018 to 2022 working in Emergency Departments in Adelaide and Hobart, where she gained her Diploma of Emergency Medicine. Isabel achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in December 2024.

Outside of medicine she enjoys running, camping and cooking.

GHFP - Alice Direen RN
Enrolled Nurse

Alice joined the GHFP Practice Nurse team in January 2024. She graduated as an Enrolled Nurse in 2020 and has found her niche in General Practice. She loves the diversity within General Practice and the opportunity to be part of her patient's health journeys. Alice lives at the beach with her family and her cross-eyed dog and is trying to be braver when it comes to swimming in the cold water!

GHFP - Laura, Receptionist

Laura joined the GHFP Reception team in september 2023. Laura's favourite things about her role are helping patients and working with an amazing team. Outside of work Laura enjoys spending time with family and friends 
 

GHFP Nurture - Dr Jonathan Choong
BMedSc, MBBS, FRACGP

Jonathan graduated in 2011 from Monash University. He completed his GP Fellowship in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. He moved to Tasmania in 2021 and has not looked back ever since. In his spare time he enjoys trail running, cycling, playing violin and cooking.

Jonathan enjoys seeing patients of all ages, genders and for all medical conditions.
