Alison grew up in Tasmania and graduated from UTAS in 1996. She went on to work and complete her training in the UK and WA before returning to Tasmania in 2004.

Alison has worked in general practice on the eastern shore since 2006 and also teaches medical students at UTAS. 

Alison enjoys the variety of general practice and the opportunity to care for people in all stages of their lives. Her special interests are womens health, child and adolescent health and preventative health care. 

Alison lives with her husband, David, and their three teenage children. Outside of medicine she enjoys pilates, photography, reading and coffee.

Alice graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2014 and attained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2020. She enjoys working in general practice for the variety of clinical practice and the ability to form an ongoing relationship with her patients, families and the community. She is particularly passionate about perinatal health including antenatal care, care of unsettled babies, infant feeding and perinatal mental health. She is also passionate about providing healthcare to trans, gender-diverse and non-binary people.

Outside of work Alice tries her best to create a work-life balance and enjoys spending time with her family and two young children, participating in community groups and enjoying time in nature.

Glebe Hill Family Practice - Dr Victoria Whelan
BMedSci, MBBS (Hons), DRANZCOG, CertRSH, FRACG

Victoria graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2004 and spent time working in the hospital system in Australia and New Zealand before returning to Hobart in 2009 to commence a career in General Practice.

Victoria has completed the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG) and the National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health. Victoria loves many facets of general practice, in particular she enjoys providing holistic care to her patients through the changing stages of their life. Victoria has a special interest in women's health (contraception, pregnancy, infertility, menopause) and child health.

Outside of general practice Victoria is kept busy and happy with her 3 children. She enjoys keeping fit, camping adventures, mountain biking, and spending time with family and friends.

GHFP - Kieran Frampton, Director
BAppSci, Cert IV TAE, Cert IV Public Safety, Diploma of Business, AAICD

Kieran is the founder of Glebe Hill Family Practice, managing the planning, construction and business development of Glebe Hill Family Practice from concept to reality. Kieran and Alice Frampton opened Glebe Hill Family Practice in January 2017, and opened GHFP Nurture in October 2022.

Kieran grew up in the local area and studied at UTAS. He has a background in Exercise Physiology, Pharmaceutical Marketing, and as a Firefighter and Station Officer at Aviation Rescue and Firefighting at Hobart Airport. Kieran completed a Diploma of Business Management in 2017, and is an Associate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Outside of work Kieran enjoys kayaking, mountain-biking, and bushwalking. He values spending time with family and friends, and being a dad.

Glebe Hill Family Practice - Dr Frances Rose
MBBS, MMed, DCH, FRACGP

Frances grew up on the East Coast of Tasmania before moving to Hobart to complete high school and graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2010.  She obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017. 

Frances enjoys all aspects of general practice and has particular interests in sports medicine, women’s healthpaediatrics, aged care, mental health and travel medicine. Frances also works for Cricket Tasmania.

Outside of work she is kept busy by her 2 young children as well as enjoying baking, painting and sniffing out good coffee.  She is a long-suffering Essendon supporter and will just about watch any sport!

Sessions:

Tuesdays, Wednesday afternoons and Fridays, plus Saturdays (once a month) at Glebe Hill Family Practice.

Dr Rose also does a Travel Clinic session at GHFP Nurture on Wednesday afternoons.

The friendly GHFP team support independent health practitioners who specialise in a number of services across General Practice and Allied Health and are clinically supported by our Practice Nursing team.

Glebe Hill Family Practice - Dr Catherine Woolley
BMedSci, MBBS (Hons), DCH, FRACGP

Catherine grew up in Hobart and graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2010. She completed her general practice training in southern Tasmania and received her Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. She has been working interstate for the last few years and has just recently moved back home to Tasmania with her husband and 2 young children.

Catherine spends most of her time outside of work caring for and being entertained / amazed by her 3 daughters. Catherine enjoys exploring and adventuring both locally and further afield with her large extended family.

Dr Woolley returned in May 2024 to operate a Travel Clinic at GHFP Nurture.

David grew up in the North West Coast of Tasmania and graduated from University of Tasmania in 1992. David worked and travelled in England for two years before returning to Australia to complete his General Practice training in Western Australia. He returned to Tasmania with his family  in 2004 and has been a General Practitioner on the eastern shore of Hobart since 2005.

David loves helping people, families and their communities and feels you can only do this in General Practice.

He is interested in all aspects of Family General Practice, providing what our communities need and also being a positive role model for the next generation of family doctors.

David currently works for Cricket Tasmania and will watch any sport!

He loves living in Hobart and enjoying everything it has to offer.
