There are a number of buzz treatments and remedies out there for losing weight. We often hear: "I don’t eat till lunch time", or  "I only eat one meal a day’", or "I usually skip lunch to eat less"

It is a common misconception that starvation is a good way to lose weight.

Starving yourself, or eating irregular of infrequent meals, sometimes achieves short term weight loss. But less frequent meals may not necessarily be low in calories, and may also be low in vital nutrients.
